Getting started with OpenFortress

This page explains what you should do to get started using OpenFortress. To gain access to the member-specific portion of the website, you will need a Login token.

Installing our root certificates

The first thing to do before you proceed with OpenFortress is install our root certificates in your browser or other software. This is a process not to be taken lightly, since it implies your trust in OpenFortress. We have provided a tool that allows you to evaluate our certificates before installing them.

Evaluate and install root certificates

The reason why we present this to you is because we make you decide what authorities to trust. Unlike the other root certificates that come pre-installed with browsers, we did not pay a rather large sum to be silently accepted. This is one place where we prefer peer-review over the classical approach.
