Maintenance report

This page reports on current maintenance, as well as on any scheduled maintenance in the future

OpenFortress reserves the right to go down when maintenance or security reasons require this. When we do so, we will reveal as much information as security of our operation allows. In addition, we strive for early announcements of maintenance on this page.

Current system status

Following information is has been entered manually; it may not always reflect the latest situation.

The OpenFortress signing vault is occasionally down.

We are in the process of upgrades that enable us to run the
signing vaults securely without their constant monitoring by an operator.
The current downtime is an investment in nearly continuous operation.

We ask for your understanding; the OpenFortress CA is still very young
and still suffers occasionally from such maintenance issues.

Scheduled maintenance

We announce as much of our maintenance ahead of time, but cannot always guarantee that it will work. Our best effort is all we can offer.

The OpenFortress website will be frozen for a few weeks around the
year change from 2006 to 2007.  During these weeks, a number of
routine maintenance tasks will be scheduled.  As part of the freeze,
not all dynamic functionality of the site will be available fulltime.
